If you’re a Hearthstone player, you undoubtedly have ran into the Hunter’s Unleash the Hounds combo, which can be frustrating to play against or around. The pesky card has had multiple changes in the past during closed beta and will be readjusted once again in an upcoming patch. Blizzard has announced that Unleash the Hounds’ mana cost will increase from two to three in hopes of balancing the card to be less frustrating to play against. Unfortunately, part of the core problem with the mechanic is the card draw potential when played with Starving Buzzard, which will remain unchanged. It is however now a turn five play and does make the Hunter class slightly weaker considering it would cost an additional mana to also play Timber Wolf.
Previously, Unleash the Hounds was a four cost card before being reduced to two cost, and prior to that, Unleash the Hounds was a one-mana cost card that gave all beasts +1 damage and Charge – which was way more fun to play against!
