Golden Heroes will be heading to Hearthstone soon, Blizzard has revealed. The Golden Heroes were previously announced at last year’s BlizzCon event and will be arriving Hearthstone in the next patch. According to Blizzard, whenever a player hits 500 wins in Ranked Play mode with a particular hero, they’ll be given the golden version permanently. Golden Heroes feature unique animations to their portrait and Hero Power. Players will also be able to track their progress with any given Hero on the deck selection screen in Ranked Play mode.
Now for the unfortunate news for all those that have been playing in the closed beta and open beta, existing wins will not count towards the total. In other words, progress towards obtaining the Golden Heroes in Hearthstone won’t start until the feature is implemented into the game.
