Blizzard Entertainment has just announced that Hearthstone will be heading to open beta next month. Other announcements for Hearthstone during the BlizzCon 2013 opening ceremony include golden versions of the heroes with full animations. Players will earn and unlock those heroes in the ranked play mode.
BlizzCon 2013 attendees and virtual ticket holders will also be getting the gold version of the Elite Tauren Chieftain card.
Blizzard also announced that it is working on iPhone and Android versions of Hearthstone that are currently in development right now and hopes to be released in the second half of 2014. The iPad version seems to be further along and looks to be released first.
So for all those Hearthstone fans that still aren’t in the closed beta, you can at least look forward to open beta next month unless you get lucky with a wave invite before then.
