GTA Online players will be getting a free cool 500,000 in GTA$ as part of an apology from Rockstar Games for all the game’s launch woes. Now that things are operating smoother in GTA Online, players who logged into the game at anytime this month will get a stimulus package starting as early as next week.
But in order to keep the economy in GTA Online balanced, the GTA$ will be paid in two separate deposits of GTA$ 250,000 each. The first deposit won’t be made to players until Rockstar Games confirms that the issues causing game progress loss have been fixed. The second installment will likely occur by the end of October.
Players will have to first install an upcoming GTA V patch, 1.04, which is expected to go live next week.
GTA Online is part of Grand Theft Auto V, which was released on September 17, 2013. It quickly became the fastest-selling game in history. GTA Online launched with numerous issues, but the recent 1.02 patch addressed many of them.
