Take-Two Interactive Software has reported results for the third quarter of its fiscal year 2025 (ending December 31, 2024), and in it, confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released this Fall on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release window isn’t much of a surprise, since it’s generally the best time to release a high-profile game, so we should see it on shelves sometime between September to November. This also means we’ll probably start getting release dates for many of 2025’s most anticipated titles since many of them likely have been waiting to hear when Grand Theft Auto VI is launching before announcing a release date.

Take-Two also confirmed Mafia: The Old Country will arrive this Summer, but Borderlands 4 remains without a release window; however, it will be sometime this year. The company remains confident in Zynga’s potential to create new mobile franchises, pointing to the ongoing success of Match Factory!

As for the actual financials, Take-Two said total net bookings grew by 3 percent to $1.37 billion compared to last year’s fiscal third quarter of $1.34 billion. The largest contributors for the quarter were NBA 2K25, Grand Theft Auto Online, Grand Theft Auto V, Toon Blast, Match Factory!, Empires & Puzzles, Red Dead Redemption 2, Red Dead Online, Words With Friends, and Toy Blast.

The Grand Theft Auto VI trailer launched in December 2023 and quickly surpassed over 150 million views. It currently has over 238 million views, indicating just how popular the series has become.
