Gran Turismo 7’s 1.34 update is set to arrive on May 24 at 10:00pm PST or May 25 at 1:00am EST. Headlining the update is the addition of three classic cars: the 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce, Greening Auto Company Maverick, and 1990 Nissan GT-R NISMO.
The iconic Alfa Romeo features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 104.5 bhp and 14.3 kgf·m torque while tipping the scales at just 950 kg. Those who are part of the aftermarket or tuner community might recognize the Greening Auto Company Maverick, which was the 2018 Best of Show winner for the SEMA GT Awards. It is a 1973 Ford Maverick built by the Greening Auto Company, powered by a 7.0-liter twin-turbo Windsor V8 to produce 1,200 bhp. Finally, if you’re a JDM fan, the R32 Nissan GT-R NISMO is instantly recognizable, powered by the infamous RB26DETT. It’s a homologation model, with Nissan producing 500 units for Group A racing.
Honda and Nissan enthusiasts from the early 2000s will appreciate the new Engine Swap feature in the Car Maintenance & Service menu at GT Auto (Collector Level 50). On certain applicable vehicles, users can now purchase and swap new engines from different cars. The Tuning Shop has also been updated with an Ultimate tab, which adds even more tuning options and a number of rare parts to Gran Turismo 7.
The GT Café also gets two extra menus: Extra Menu 22, featuring the SEMA Gran Turismo Award (available to Collector Level 37 and above), and Extra Menu 23, dedicated to Group A (available to Collector Level 33 and above). Lastly, update 1.34 introduces two new scapes to the featured section: National Stadium and The Lake District.
