Game Pass subscribers were already enjoying a fantastic April, with the first wave of titles including South of Midnight and Blue Prince, both of which we enjoyed. Now, the lineup for the second half of April has been revealed and it includes one of our most anticipated games of the year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Before we get to that though, Grand Theft Auto V is available starting today on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. The return of Grand Theft Auto V to Game Pass was actually announced earlier and includes the newly enhanced version on PC.
Tomorrow, April 16, Neon White on Console will be available with Game Pass Standard. This first-person action game is all about moving quickly as players take on the role of White, an assassin chosen from Hell to compete with other demon slayers. Also available on April 16 is SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard members. This physics-based game is all about putting your silliest ideas into action, which is fitting for Patrick fans.
Two titles will be available on Game Pass on April 17: Crime Scene Cleaner on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S and Tempopo on Cloud, Console, and PC. Both are available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, with Crime Scene Cleaner putting players in the shoes of a crime scene cleaner for the mob. Meanwhile, Tempopo is a day one release, a colorful music puzzle game that has a creature collector mechanic.
The game I’m most excited about in April is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on April 24. The upcoming turn-based RPG will be available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers as a day one release. It features a star-studded cast of voice actors, including Charlie Cox, Ben Starr, Andy Serkis, and Jennifer English, as players explore a fantasy world inspired by Belle Époque France.
On April 29, Towerborne (Game Preview) joins Game Pass on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. It comes from the developers behind the Banner Saga trilogy and is an action-adventure beat ’em up game that can be played solo or with up to three additional players. A day later, on April 30, Far Cry 4 will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. In this installment of Far Cry, players are Ajay Ghale, who travels to Kyrat to fulfill a promise, diving into a civil war to overthrow the dictator Pagan Min.
Xbox has also announced what to expect for the first week of May. To start off the month on May 1, both Anno 1800 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be on Game Pass. Anno 1800 will be on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard members. It’s a city-building, real-time strategy game set to the dawn of the Industrial Age. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II needs no introduction, but it’ll be available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Finally, on May 6, Dredge will be available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. This single-player fishing adventure isn’t what you think, and it’s a great experience for those looking for a fishing horror title to enjoy.
As usual, Xbox also announced the games leaving the Game Pass library at the end of month. These are the titles that will no longer be available starting April 30:
