Square Enix’s Forspoken is getting a story DLC titled In Tanta We Trust on May 26. It will serve as a prequel to the main game, taking place 25 years prior to the events of Forspoken. In the DLC, players will once again return to the lands of Athia as Frey Holland as she continues her search for a way to eradicate the Break from Athia once and for all. The story for the DLC is set with Frey following a mysterious voice, leading her to the Purge of the Rheddig, the legendary battle that devastated Athia.
In the DLC, Frey will be accompanied by Tanta Cinta and will get a new set of magical abilities. Experience new combat strategies while coordinating attack combos against the invading Rheddig forces. Those who purchased the Digital Deluxe edition of Forspoken will get early access to In Tanta We Trust starting on May 23.
Forspoken released earlier this year in January to a lukewarm reception. But if you want to check it out, the game is currently on sale at Amazon ($49.99) and Gamestop ($44.99) at time of publishing.
