Square Enix has released a new gallery of Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD screenshots. The upcoming remake of the PlayStation 2 games will be heading to the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. Unfortunately, Square Enix still hasn’t announced a release date for North America and Europe, but Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD will be heading to Japan on December 26, 2013. Though Square Enix has been promising that it’ll be released in North America and Europe this holiday season, it’s seeming unlikely that the North America and European versions of the game will be released in 2013.

We could get lucky though, so for now we’ll just keep our fingers crossed.

Final Fantasy X was originally released on December 17, 2001 in North America for the PlayStation 2, while its sequel, Final Fantasy X-2 was released on November 18, 2003 in North America. Both games are being remastered in high-definition and will also feature a remastered soundtrack in HD. Another addition to the game includes a 30-minute audio drama that will be added to the credits in Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD.
