The world hasn’t seen a college football video game since 2013 when EA’s NCAA Football 14 launched, but that drought is finally ending with the launch of EA Sports College Football 25 on July 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will get a full reveal tomorrow, May 17, but EA has already revealed its covers. For those who follow college football, NIL has made it possible for active college athletes to appear on the cover of a game for the first time. EA Sports chose Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, and Colorado dual-threat Travis Hunter for the covers of College Football 25.

Standard ($69.99) and Deluxe ($99.99) editions of College Football 25 are now available for preorder, with more details on the game to be unveiled tomorrow and throughout the summer. The Standard edition includes the base game, Alma Mater Ultimate Team Pack, Cover Athlete Ultimate Team Pack, and the Bring Glory Home Ultimate Team Uniform. The Deluxe Edition adds three-day early access, 4600 College Football points, and the Heisman Hopeful Ultimate Team Pack. EA is also offering an MVP Bundle ($149.99), which includes Madden NFL 25 Deluxe Edition and College Football 25 Deluxe Edition.

College Football is finally coming back to video games

“Donovan, Quinn and Travis are extraordinary talents who impressed and entertained millions of college football fans on the field last season and are poised to do so again this year,” said Daryl Holt, SVP and Group GM, EA SPORTS. “We’re proud to be able to incorporate thousands of current athletes in College Football 25, and featuring this trio of playmakers and their iconic college programs on the cover is a perfect fit as we usher in a new era for EA SPORTS and college football. I can’t wait for the world to learn more about the game tomorrow.”
