Diablo III’s Legendary drop rates have been a popular topic of discussion recently, as the team gets ready to release the Reaper of Souls expansion. Game Designer Travis Day took to the official forums to share some interesting information regarding Diablo III’s Legendary drop rates.
According to Day, there will be a system in place with the Reaper of Souls expansion that “tracks the amount of time you spend fighting creatures without finding a legendary and after a certain period of time will slowly start increasing the legendary drop rate.” While that certain period of time wasn’t noted, Day did mention that the team’s goal is to have players find a Legendary item every 90 minutes or so of farming.
Essentially what it means is that players will no longer go hours of farming without seeing a Legendary item drop, and theoretically, it would be impossible for a player to go over 10 hours without seeing one.
