Diablo III Patch 2.1.0 is now live, adding several new features to the game: Seasons, Greater Rifts, Conquests, Leaderboards and The Cesspools. The first Diablo III Patch 2.1.0 season won’t go live until Friday at 6:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM ET for the Americas region and will allow players to start entirely from scratch as they look to complete Conquests and have their names immortalized on the Leaderboards.

In addition to Seasons, players can look forward to Greater Rifts, which is a special type of Nephalem Rift. With an infinite number of Greater Rift levels, it will be a true test to see how far players can go as each level gets progressively more difficult than the last. Completing a Greater Rift within the allocated time will allow players to either progress to the next level or to upgrade their Legendary Gem.

Along with Legendary Gems, Diablo III Patch 2.1.0 has also tweaked many of the Legendary items’ properties and has added a Hellfire Amulet, a craftable amulet that will randomly grant a passive skill as a bonus.

Lastly, there’s The Vault, which can appear randomly after defeating a goblin that will be filled with gold, loot and even more goblins to slay.
