Blizzard Entertainment and its Diablo III development team have announced that they will be shutting down the auction house on the PC version of Diablo III. That will also include the removal of the Real Money Auction House from the game.
The auction house will be shut down on March 18, 2014 and the team believes that with the changes to the game with the upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion, die-hard Diablo fans will finally have an enjoyable loot finding experience with Diablo III. The game will also be seeing changes to its loot with the new Loot 2.0 system and along with having no auction house, playing Diablo III will be a much more rewarding experience for its players.
You can watch a video of Josh Mosquiera, the game’s director, along with John Hight explaining the upcoming change, which is a major one.
