Developer Funday Games has announced that Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will exit Early Access on September 17, 2025. The game’s 1.0 release date trailer made its debut at the Triple-i Initiative event earlier today, and the game confirmed that one of the major features coming in 1.0 is Gear. Unfortunately, the team didn’t disclose any details about it, but they did confirm it’s a brand new system that is designed to shake up the meta layer.

Over the next few months, we’ll get more details about Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor 1.0, including a post going deeper on Gear. Expect new features, new systems, and a few surprises, since it will be the game’s biggest update yet. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launched into Early Access on February 14, 2024, and has received numerous updates over the past year. The game currently sits on Steam with a Very Positive rating from 34,173 user reviews.
