The Dark Souls II release date has been announced and it will be hitting North America on March 11, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Namco Bandai also announced that the PC version would be available “shortly after” but gave no definitive release date. In addition, the company unveiled Dark Souls II‘s Collector’s Edition which includes a 12-inch figurine, a soundtrack to the game, an art book and a cloth map. Choosing to pre order the game will net you the Black Armor Edition which gives you a fancy tin case and the soundtrack.

The Dark Souls II release date for Japan is March 13 while European gamers will be able to get their hands on it on March 14.

The beta for Dark Souls II will kick off on October 12 for the PlayStation 3. Watch the Dark Souls II Tokyo Game Show trailer below.
