CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 25 million copies, nearly three years after its very rough launch. The recent 2.0 update and the release of Phantom Liberty have likely contributed to the game’s sales boost. This marks an impressive turnaround for a game that was once pulled from the PlayStation Store, with Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) even offering refunds to users. This latest milestone indicates that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold an additional five million units since September, when CD Projekt Red reported 20 million units sold.

During an investor presentation, the company revealed that the game’s first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, sold three million units between September 26 and October 3.
