Games getting delayed are nothing new to our industry, but we wouldn’t blame you if you had forgotten about Capcom’s Pragmata. Originally making its debut in 2020, the game was confirmed to be in development for PlayStation 5 and set to launch in 2022. The game then got another trailer in late 2021, confirming its delay to 2023. Then, in June 2023, Capcom released another trailer announcing the game’s indefinite delay, which was rather humorous. That same gag with the note made a return in today’s trailer, confirming that the game is real and set for a 2026 release—maybe, hopefully.
Heading to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Pragmata is a sci-fi action-adventure game that takes players to the moon. It’s there that spacefarer Hugh and android Diana find themselves caught in a fight with hostile AI that is in control of the lunar research station. The two must rely on one another in hopes of returning to Earth. What makes Pragmata a bit unique is that players will control both characters at the same time in a single-player game. Capcom promises that more information about the gameplay experience is coming soon.
