Another game is getting the sunset treatment, at least on console. EA announced that Battlefield Hardline will be removed from digital storefronts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 22, meaning you’ll no longer be able to purchase the game or any of its DLC on those platforms. Online services for the console versions will shut down a month later on June 22. Players who already own the game will still be able to play the single-player campaign after that date.

This pattern isn’t anything new, as publishers continue to cycle older titles off legacy platforms. The good news, if you can call it that, is that the PC version of Battlefield Hardline is unaffected. It will remain available for purchase, and online services on PC will continue. Battlefield Hardline launched in 2015 as Visceral Games’ cop-themed take on the Battlefield formula, and while it was divisive among franchise fans, it had a dedicated community. If you’ve been meaning to revisit it on console, you’ve got about two months to grab it digitally before it’s gone.
