The Battlefield Twitter account earlier confirmed that Battlefield 4 will not offer cross-generation play, meaning if you plan on ultimately playing Battlefield 4 on a next-gen console, it’s best not to start on a current-gen one. Earlier this week, EA announced that FIFA 14 would support cross-gen play in Ultimate Team. Now keep in mind, since we don’t know the official release dates of the next-gen consoles, there’s a chance they’ll be released by the time Battlefield 4 is released in October.
