Add another potentially exciting game to 2023’s list: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, is set to release on December 7, 2023, for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Today, during Ubisoft Forward 2023, we got our best look yet at the upcoming game through a lengthy game overview trailer narrated by Game Director Ditte Deenfeldt.
In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, players assume the role of a Na’vi, who has been abducted by the human militaristic corporation known as the RDA. As a child, the RDA trains and molds you to serve their purpose. After the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains, you’re put into emergency cryosleep, as the RDA evacuates Pandora. Awakening 15 years later in an abandoned facility, you’ll take your steps back onto Pandora as a stranger in your own birthplace. Of course, the threat of the RDA is back.
The game is being developed in collaboration with Disney and James Cameron’s production company, Lightstorm Entertainment. In fact, Cameron made an appearance at Ubisoft Forward 2023 to share a few words of his own about the game. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person, action-adventure game that will feature two-player co-op for the full story campaign. Other features in the game include the ability to soar the skies with your bonded mount and engage with multiple combat styles.
