Today, Ubisoft shared the fall roadmap update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, announcing that the Switch 2 release is set for December 2, 2025. That version of the game will include all the recent updates and free content drops, although the Claws of Awaji expansion will arrive later in 2026. The Switch 2 version will also support cross-progression via Ubisoft Connect if players want to double-dip on the purchase. Ubisoft also shared that the Switch 2 version supports touchscreen features in all menus, including the world map, store, and hideout.

Now that the summer roadmap has come and gone, Assassin’s Creed Shadows players can look forward to title update 10 on October 28 and title update 11 on November 25. Title update 10 is the second parkour update and adds a new toggle option called “Advanced Parkour.” When enabled, it removes all parkour barriers, so players can do side ejects and back ejects from any height. The team is also tweaking side eject on parkour down, so players have more freedom of expression. The update also adjusts the vertical ledge grab in regular parkour, which should now work in more situations, including on non-standing objects. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is also introducing a new beam manual jump option from those non-standing objects, as well as reintroducing the directional catch ledge mechanic.

The October 28 update also brings a new Animus-themed activity called Corrupted Castles. Each season, up to five Corrupted Castles will appear on the map, with any previously completed castle having a chance to get corrupted. If they do, they’re filled with Animus anomalies, including Samurai Daisho and their reward chests. The feature is intended to give players opportunities to reengage with those castles for even better rewards.

Next month is Title Update 11, which includes the third story drop called “A Puzzlement.” Ubisoft says the quest inherits a much more humorous and silly tone, similar to what you’d find in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. In “A Puzzlement,” players will dig up old foes from Naoe’s past, who are looking for redemption. Players can look forward to a new and intricate environmental puzzle that promises answers to several questions the community has been asking. Naoe and Yasuke will also learn new skills from each other, with Naoe getting her own version of Yasuke’s war kick ability, while Yasuke learns how to stealthily dispatch enemies in a non-lethal way.

Ubisoft also teased that it’s doubling down on free story drops on November 25 because that’s when the next special collaboration will drop. That will be revealed at a later date, along with several freebies around the holiday season.
