Paramount+ has unexpectedly released the first six episodes of ARK: The Animated Series today. This series, based on ARK: Survival Evolved, is now streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada, before heading to international markets starting April 19. The second part of the season, featuring seven new episodes, will debut at a later date. While we haven’t had the opportunity to watch the series just yet, we’re cautiously optimistic considering its star-studded voice cast: Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page, Madeleine Madden, and Vin Diesel.

According to a press release, ARK: The Animated Series “is a sweeping saga spanning eons of human history.” The story unfolds as 21st-century paleontologist Helena Walker, portrayed by Madeleine Madden, is resurrected on a mysterious island teeming with prehistoric beasts, including dinosaurs. Together with new allies from various time periods, the cast will work together to survive and uncover the island’s true nature.
