Amazon Rumored to be Working on Android Console

The Amazon Kindle Fire has had decent success in the oversaturated market of Android tablets, and rumor has it that the online giant is developing an Android home console that will be released by the end of this year. Amazon will leverage titles already available on its own app store, which offers one free productivity or game app per day. According to reports, the Amazon Android console will have its own controller and looks to directly compete with the Ouya. Unlike the Ouya however, Amazon has the expendable capital to make the console a success, perhaps even selling it as a loss to help bolster app purchases.
