Amazon Prime Big Deal Days are just around the corner, but this is the deal you should be paying attention to if you’re looking for a gaming PC. Currently, Dell has an Alienware Aurora configuration with an RTX 5080 for just $1,699.99. It comes equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, 16GB of DDR5-5200 RAM, a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, and a 1000W Platinum-rated PSU. Personally, I’d recommend upgrading to 32GB of RAM, which will cost you $200 more if you want to stick with DDR5-5200. Other options for RAM include $300 for 32GB DDR5-6400, $400 for 64GB DDR5-5200, and $500 for 64GB DDR5-6400. Either way, this is one of the cheapest ways to get your hands on a competent gaming PC with an RTX 5080.

While it isn’t a handheld, this Alienware Aurora configuration is night-and-day more powerful than the Lenovo Legion Go 2, which tops out at $1,479.99. It’s an apples-to-oranges comparison, but keep in mind the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X handheld is $999.99 with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Granted, both of those devices are handhelds with their own value, but if you just want a powerful gaming PC that’s a good deal, this Alienware Aurora is it.
