Nintendo Switch owners, you are stuck with Persona 3 Portable. Atlus has confirmed that the upcoming Persona 3 Reload won’t be heading to the Switch. Officially announced at Xbox Games Showcase 2023, after Atlus West’s social media team accidentally released the trailers early, Persona 3 Reload is a remake of Persona 3, the game many fans consider to be the best Persona when it comes to characters and story.
In Persona 3 Reload, players take on the role of a transfer student who enters the mysterious hour hidden between one day and the next. The game is being billed as a “captivating reimagining of the genre-defining RPG, reborn for the modern era,” just not for the Switch.
The remake will feature updated graphics and a UI similar to what we got in Persona 5, but more importantly, Persona 3 Reload will have modern quality-of-life features, something the game desperately needs to convince players to sink over 100 hours into it. Atlus also confirmed Persona 3 Reload will have new scenes, character interactions, and additional voiceover.
Persona 3 Reload heads to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in early 2024.
