Hi-Fi Rush has announced a free update heading to the game starting July 5, called Arcade Challenge! Update! The surprise hit game from Tango Gameworks will add a new BPM Rush mode, which has players taking on waves of enemies to music with a steadily increasing beats per minute. As players defeat each wave, the BPM will speed up to the next level until it reaches 200 BPM.
The Rhythm Tower challenge is getting a new twist as part of the update as well, with Power Up! Tower Up! This mode introduces Upgrades and Bugs between rounds. Players can choose upgrades, which boost Chai’s stats and other benefits, but this will result in a lowered score multiplier. Bugs do the opposite, boosting the score potential, but it all comes at a cost.
The free update also adds new Special Attacks featuring CNMN and Smidge. There are also new challenges to earn Photo Mode stickers. Additionally, new t-shirts for Chai and outfits for Korsica have been added, as well as new poses and filters for Photo Mode.
