Xbox has announced it will go to Gamescom 2025 with over 20 playable titles, including a new Hollow Knight: Silksong demo. Attendees at Gamescom, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 20 to 24, can go hands-on with the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld PCs. Playable titles on those devices include Hollow Knight: Silksong, Roblox, Sea of Thieves, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. Xbox also revealed additional showcase titles: Grounded 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants DLC, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology: Retold, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The team is also hosting an exclusive theater presentation for Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2, which is launching on October 24, 2025.

Other first-party highlights include the next World of Warcraft expansion, Midnight, and attendees can go hands-on with the new Housing system. Xbox also announced more on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be revealed during Opening Night Live on August 19, making it a major show focus.

In addition to first-party titles, the Xbox booth will have numerous third-party demos, including Borderlands 4, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, EA Sports FC 26, Aniimo, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, PowerWash Simulator 2, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Final Fantasy XVI, Invincible VS, Super Meat Boy 3D, Cronos: The New Dawn, and Mistfall Hunter. There will be unannounced surprises, but we’ll have to wait until Opening Night Live to learn more.

For those unable to attend in Germany, Xbox will host two Gamescom 2025 broadcasts. The first broadcast airs August 20 at 6:00 AM Pacific (9:00 AM Eastern) and features ROG Xbox Ally handhelds, Grounded 2, Keeper, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and more. The second broadcast airs August 21 at the same time, focusing on Ninja Gaiden 4, Overwatch 2, The Outer Worlds 2, and more. The team at Bethesda will also host three days of live broadcasts starting August 22.
