This year, Game Pass has been home to some of the top releases with games like Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 available at launch on the service. While the lineup in the first half of July was a bit lackluster, the second half of the month is making up for it. Before we get to the highlights, there’s a new addition to Game Pass today that was mentioned in the wave 1 lineup post: High On Life for Cloud, Console, and PC. The returning title is available to Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard members.
On July 17, RoboCop: Rogue City and My Friendly Neighborhood join the lineup. RoboCop: Rogue City heads to Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers and was a pleasant surprise when it launched in late 2023. Most would agree it’s the best RoboCop game we’ve ever gotten. Meanwhile, My Friendly Neighborhood is a survival horror adventure game featuring puppets on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. In it, players take on the role of Gordon, who is a repairman that has been sent to find the underlying cause of a disturbing dilemma.
The following day, July 18, sees Back to the Dawn on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The game leaves Early Access on the same date and is a prison escape RPG filled with crime, corruption, and hidden agendas. After a short break, one of the month’s highlights will be available: Abiotic Factor launches on July 22 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. This survival crafting game finally exits Early Access and we’re looking forward to jumping back in to see the entire experience. We’ve spent time with Abiotic Factor this year, and it puts a quirky twist on the genre with paranormal activity and silly humor. Abiotic Factor was also announced to be part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog library in July.
We then get a series of day-one releases starting with Wheel World on July 23 for Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. In Wheel World, players take on the role of Kat, a young cyclist chosen by ancient spirits to save the world from total collapse. Customize Kat’s bike, take on races, and explore an open world in this unique title from developer Messhof. On July 24, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers hits Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. This soulslike action RPG is set in the final days of the Ming Dynasty and players will explore the story of Wuchang, a pirate warrior who is battling memory loss and a deadly curse.
The game we’re most excited for is Grounded 2 as it enters Game Preview on July 29 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, Grounded 2 was a surprise announcement at Xbox Games Showcase 2025 last month. In the sequel to the highly successful Grounded, players will once again enter a shrunken world, but this time it’s much larger. New features include the ability to ride Buggy mounts, a better combat system, and more. We loved our time with Grounded, and can’t wait to dive into the sequel as a group even if it’s just Game Preview.
As usual, Xbox also gave a sneak preview of what to expect for the following month. Farming Simulator 25 will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC starting August 1 to Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. At this point, the Farming Simulator franchise needs no introduction, and the latest title lets players explore the wonderful world of farming in North America, Central Europe, or East Asia.
