The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for May 2025 is one of the most diverse we’ve seen yet, with an interesting mix of titles ranging from Sand Land to Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted to Battlefield V. All the following titles will be available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on May 20, while PlayStation Plus Premium members will get access to an additional game, Battle Engine Aquila on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Kicking off this month’s lineup is Sand Land for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It comes from the late Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, who passed away in March 2024. Based on the popular manga series with the same name, Sand Land puts players behind incredible vehicles to explore a desert world and beyond. Next on the list is Soul Hackers 2 on PlayStation 5. This supernatural RPG puts players into a neon-drenched cityscape where demon contracts and underground hackers wage a silent war.

Fans of the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe can look forward to Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted – Full Time Edition. This collection features classic and original mini-games from Five Nights at Freddy’s, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Five Nights at Freddy’s 3, Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location.  Those who have a PlayStation VR2 can also enjoy the game in VR.

By now, Battlefield V isn’t particularly exciting, but if you’ve somehow missed the 2018 entry, now’s your chance to check it out. It takes the series back to its roots with a unique portrayal of World War II, featuring Grand Operations multiplayer, Combined Arms cooperative, single-player War Stories, and the Firestorm Battle Royale mode.

If you hopped onto the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl train late last year as your first entry into the series, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Upscaled and enhanced for a new generation, this trilogy takes players into the Zone’s origins as legendary stalkers. This day-one release on PlayStation Plus includes Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Prypiat.

For fighting game fans, there’s Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This revamped sequel to Granblue Versus adds accessibility features for beginners, while maintaining the complexity veterans expect. There’s even a Story Campaign available for those who just want to experience the game on their own.

Humankind is the next title for May 2025 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This historical strategy game has players rewriting the entire narrative of human history, allowing them to combine cultures to create a unique civilization. The game features up to 60 historical cultures, as players lead their people from the Ancient to the Modern Age. If that type of simulation sounds a bit too intense, maybe Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on PlayStation 5 is more appealing. This reimagined version of A Wonderful Life brings the original to a new generation as the definitive experience. Players set up a new farm in the peaceful town of Forgotten Valley, where they’ll cultivate crops, raise animals, and find love among the town’s residents to make lasting memories.

The final title for May 2025 for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers is Gloomhaven Mercenaries Edition on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This tough tactical RPG has players leading a band of mercenaries through an unforgiving land. It includes the Gloomhaven base game and the Solo Scenarios: Mercenary Challenges DLC.

As we mentioned earlier, PlayStation Plus Premium members get access to Battle Engine Aquila on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Take on the role of Hawk Winter, who has been tasked to pilot Battle Engine Aquila as a war rages on between the forces of the Forseti and the evil Muspell. Both are entrenched in a battle for a flooded world’s most limited resource: land.
