Developer Hangar 13 and publisher 2K have announced an August 8, 2025 release date for Mafia: The Old Country. Heading to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Mafia: The Old Country will have a $49.99 base-game price, while a Deluxe Edition, which adds a variety of bonus items (listed below), will be available for $59.99. Those who preorder either version of the game will receive the Soldato Pack, featuring the “Soldato” Outfit; “Scannaturi Speciale” Knife; “Tesoro” Horse and accessories; and the “Lupara” Charm.

According to Hangar 13 President Nick Baynes, Mafia: The Old Country “is a focused, linear experience that combines storytelling, authentic era immersion and a refined take on the familiar Mafia gameplay.” The game embraces early 1990s-era Sicily and is a mafia-origin story that follows protagonist Enzo Favara as he takes the oath and works his way up in Don Torrisi’s crime family. The game aims to mix deep storytelling and high-intensity, life-or-death gameplay. It is being built on Unreal Engine 5.
