The upcoming action RPG Titan Quest II will now launch in Early Access this summer. Developer Grimlore Games and publisher THQ Nordic attributed the delay to a crowded ARPG release window and a desire to give the game the spotlight it deserves. Titan Quest II recently hosted a demo playtest where thousands of players had an opportunity to explore the game’s introductory chapter. The team at Grimlore said over 92 percent of those who completed a survey rated their experience as positive or very positive. Players praised the game’s visuals and audio, along with exploration and environmental storytelling.

While the team says the main reason for the delay is the release of other ARPGs, it also acknowledged that areas of the game need refinement. They’re already addressing combat fluidity, ability aiming, and balance, along with more performance optimizations. Other improvements, such as customizable control schemes and enhanced UI indicators, are in development as a result of community suggestions. Some players described the combat as a bit sluggish or slow, so it’s good to hear the team is taking that feedback seriously and looking for ways to improve it.

Originally announced in August 2023, Titan Quest II will eventually be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
