PlayStation Plus members are going to be able to enjoy one of the biggest games of 2024 if they somehow haven’t yet. Balatro has been announced as one of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for May 2025, joining Ark: Survival Ascended and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. It’s a solid trio of games, even if Balatro is doing the heavy lifting this month.

As controversial as Ark: Survival Ascended is, curious PlayStation 5 gamers who have kept their distance can see what all the hype is about if they’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Ark: Survival Ascended is one of the most popular crafting survival games, centered around breeding dinosaurs. This version of the game has been reimagined from the ground up with Unreal Engine 5 and includes access to all of Ark’s worlds.

As for Balatro, it’s the indie darling of 2024 and it’s still gathering up awards. This poker-inspired roguelike deck builder shows just how important game design is with its game-changing jokers that can create some really insane combos and synergies. Balatro will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The final title of the month is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s a first-person shooter with the gameplay and visuals of your favorite 1990s retro shooters, like classic Doom and Doom II, just set in the Warhammer 40,000 world. Call it a boomer shooter if you want, but it’s a fun romp if you’re looking for a more classic FPS experience.

These three titles will be available from May 6 until June 2, which means last month’s games—RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth—will be available until May 5.
