Originally one of our top games to play in May 2025, Lost Soul Aside has been delayed to August 29, 2025. Developer Ultizero Games’ Game Director and CEO, Yang Bing, made the announcement, stating that the team needs additional time to polish the game. For those who haven’t heard of Lost Soul Aside, it originally debuted as a solo project in 2016. Following the trailer that showcased fast-paced combat and a visual style reminiscent of games like Final Fantasy XV and Devil May Cry, Sony backed the project. This allowed Bing to found Ultizero Games and assemble a team to bring his dream of Lost Soul Aside to fruition.

When it does release, players will take on the role of Kaser, a warrior who is on a quest to save his sister, Louisa, whose soul has been taken by interdimensional beings called Voidrax. Kaser is joined by a shape-shifting dragon-like companion called Arena, and he’ll travel through all sorts of biomes and landscapes, from ancient ruins to alternate dimensions. Gameplay definitely looks flashy and very action-oriented, and hopefully the extra development time pays off.
