Diablo IV players, Blizzard Entertainment has finally shared the game’s first roadmap, showcasing what is coming to the game in 2025. It’s a bit surprising that this is the first roadmap for the game, considering it launched in 2023, but hey, Blizzard says that transparency is their guiding star now. The 2025 roadmap reveals the next three Diablo IV seasons of 2025: Belial’s Return, Sins of the Horadrim, and Infernal Chaos.

Belial’s Return will add Boss Powers, an Apparition Incursion Activity, and an earnable feline pet. Permanent additions for that season include new lair bosses—Belial, Urivar, and Harbinger—quality of life changes to lair bosses, reliquaries, and updates to the season journey. April to July will also play host to a new IP collaboration and the game’s two-year anniversary, so expect a few surprises.

From July to September, Sins of the Horadrim will add Horadric Powers, Dungeon Escalation, and an additional earnable pet. Permanent additions for that season include new Nightmare Dungeon activities, console keyboard and mouse support, and more. Details for the Infernal Chaos season are a bit light, but it will bring Chaos Powers, an update to Infernal Hordes, as well as another earnable pet and IP collaboration.

It appears that Diablo IV’s next expansion will not arrive until 2026, which will also be the year the game gets a new ranking system, leaderboards, and more. It will be interesting to see if the Diablo IV community finds this roadmap interesting enough to keep them along to the entirety of this year, since the game’s next expansion isn’t arriving until 2026. The genre has plenty of exciting new entries, including Path of Exile 2 and the upcoming Titan Quest II.

In our Diablo IV review, we felt a bit disappointed by the game at its launch. Since then, several improvements have been made, along with the expansion Vessel of Hatred, but the game still doesn’t capture that essence of Diablo we’ve grown to love throughout the years, including with Diablo III.
