One of our top games to play in December, Fantasian Neo Dimension, now has a demo available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The RPG comes from Producer Hironobu Sakaguchi, best known as the creator of the Final Fantasy series. Sakaguchi left Square Enix in 2003 and went on to form his own studio, Mistwalker, which also resulted in Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, and The Last Story. His latest game, Fantasian, originally launched in 2021 on the Apple Arcade platform before being released on consoles as Fantasian Neo Dimension on December 5, 2024. Sakaguchi reunited with his old employer, Square Enix, to publish Fantasian Neo Dimension on consoles and PC.

Like other Square Enix demos, players can experience the first few hours of the game, and their progress can carry over to the full game. It provides players an opportunity to explore the game’s unique multi-dimensional battle mechanics while learning the story of Leo, who is trying to recover his memories and solve the mystery of a strange mechanical infection destroying the world.

Fans of classic Final Fantasy games will find much to love about Fantasian Neo Dimension, especially since it features a soundtrack by composer Nobuo Uematsu.
