Astro Bot wasn’t just one of the best games I played in 2024; it was one of the happiest games I’ve played in years. Much of the game is designed around bringing you joy along with entertainment, and developer Team Asobi is delivering even more. Along with a series of free speed-running levels that are already available, the team is releasing a new level called Winter Wonder on December 12 at 6:00 PM Pacific (9:00 PM Eastern).

The level will only be available to players who have completed the game, and Team Asobi wants to keep much of it a surprise, so it hasn’t shared very many details. It’s obviously holiday-themed and filled with shiny presents, mixed with some jingle bells and, most importantly, brand-new special bots to collect. Don’t expect it to be very difficult, as it’s designed to be a celebration enjoyed by children and adults.
