Wuthering Waves, which launched on Android, iOS, and PC on May 22, 2024, will receive a PlayStation 5 version on January 2, 2025. The PlayStation 5 launch will coincide with Version 2.0, and progress will be synced across PC, mobile, and PlayStation 5. Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play open-world RPG that some compare to Genshin Impact. Players take on the role of Rover and are joined by a cast of Resonators to reclaim their lost memories. The game’s next major update will introduce Rinascita, a new region in Version 2.0.

I’ve been enjoying Wuthering Waves since its launch and have been playing it casually each day. It offers a good balance between content and the ability to quickly complete daily tasks if you’re short on time. The story has improved since launch but still needs work. However, the characters are well-designed, and the combat is excellent. Wuthering Waves is nominated for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2024.
