Yesterday, The Game Awards announced its 2024 nominees, and today, The Indie Game Awards revealed its 2024 nominees. Created by Six One Indie, The 2024 Indie Game Awards is an annual ceremony dedicated to indie gaming. The event will take place on December 19 at 4:00 PM Pacific (7:00 PM Eastern) and will stream on IGN and YouTube.
Nominees are selected by a diverse panel of judges, including media professionals, influencers, and industry experts. Some of the presenters for this year’s show include Ben Rausch from Team Lazerbeam, Celia Schilling from Yacht Club Games, Charmaine Duff from Women-Led Games, and Victoria Tran from InnerSloth. The extensive list of judges includes IGN, The Indie Informer, MinnMax, Giant Bomb, and No Small Games.
To be eligible for The Indie Game Awards, games must have launched into version 1.0 between November 1, 2023 and November 1, 2024. Definitive Editions, Director’s Cuts, and ports are ineligible for an Indie Game Award. Eligibility will expand next year to include Early Access titles. See the full list of nominees for 2024 below.
