There’s been a lot of news about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 after the game recently revealed its star-studded voice acting cast, including Andy Serkis and Charlie Cox. It’s currently my most anticipated game of 2025 after it made a stylish debut at the Xbox Games Showcase in June. Since then, every trailer for the upcoming RPG has made me more excited, and now developer Sandfall Interactive has confirmed the main game will run over 30 hours. Completionists can expect as much side content as the main game, meaning Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 could be a 60-plus hour affair with a $49.99 price tag.
It’s important to remember that the game’s developers are a small indie team, not an AAA studio, and they’re creating their first game. Still, based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s hard to keep expectations low since the game looks so good. In addition to confirming the length of the game, the team also announced it has partnered with Bandai Namco and Maximum Entertainment to distribute physical editions of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in select markets around the world. No details yet on when and where, but we should gradually see retailers listing the game up for preorder, according to the developers.
