In one of the closest finishes in Final Fantasy XIV raiding history, AAC Light-Heavyweight Tier (Savage) has been cleared by multiple teams, both on-stream and off-stream. It took less than 10 hours for the tier to be cleared, with Grind and Serenity leading the way, although both of those were off-stream. The two teams that finished on-stream did it within seconds of one another, with Lucrezia besting Echo. Considering the rise in difficulty of Normal content in Dawntrail, it’s surprising that this was the quickest Savage raid clear yet—Shadowbringers’ Eden’s Gate took 13 hours and 50 minutes.
Congratulations to all the teams competing, and we’re excited to see how the Final Fantasy XIV raiding community grows now that bigger teams, such as Echo, are streaming their progress. Hopefully, one day, the World’s First clear will happen on-stream and the Final Fantasy XIV raiding community will be taken more seriously.
Edit: It appears Grind finished ahead of Serenity, so we’ve updated the article to reflect the change in order.
