11-Year-Old Game Tops Elden Ring in June Downloads Charts

Not even the release of Elden Ring’s highly anticipated DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, was enough to topple Grand Theft Auto V. A game originally released on the PlayStation 3 was June 2024’s top downloaded game on PlayStation 5 in both the US/Canada and EU regions. Elden Ring did come in second for both regions, while NBA 2K24 rounded out the top three in US/Canada and Sea of Thieves took the spot in the EU. For PlayStation 4, Minecraft topped the list in both regions, followed by Red Dead Redemption 2 and Firewatch. Grand Theft Auto V took fourth place on PlayStation 4.

For PlayStation VR2, Beat Saber was the most downloaded game for June 2024, followed by Among Us VR in US/Canada and Arizona Sunshine 2 in the EU. Rounding out the top three are Arizona Sunshine 2 in the US/Canada and Kayak VR: Mirage in the EU. Those in the US/Canada still playing the original PlayStation VR took Astro Bot Rescue Mission to the top, possibly helped by the announcement of a new Astro Bot game, followed by The Walking Dead: Onslaught and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR. In the EU, Sniper Elite VR, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and Batman: Arkham VR led the way.

Finally, MultiVersus was the most popular free-to-play game for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in both regions. In the US/Canada, MultiVersus was followed by Roblox and Fortnite, while Fortnite and Stumble Guys ranked second and third in the EU.
