Xbox isn’t winning the console war anytime soon, but as I explained earlier this month, Game Pass is the brand’s future. As proof of that point, Xbox has announced that starting next month, Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) owners will be able to access the Xbox app to play games. However, they will need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription and will have to reside in one of the over 25 countries that support the cloud gaming service. Of course, players will also need a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller in order to play games.
Once it’s available, users can download the Xbox app to their Fire TV Stick 4K device. After launching it, they’ll have to sign into their Microsoft account, and if they already have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, they’ll get access to hundreds of cloud-enabled games.
