Earlier this month, Microsoft closed four studios, one of which was Redfall developer Arkane Austin. As a farewell, Arkane Austin has released Update 4 for Redfall, with a short note to everyone:
We’re thankful for the millions of players who have joined us. From everyone at Arkane Austin, thank you for playing our games and loving our worlds, it’s been an honor to deliver these experiences to you.
Arkane Austin
It’s no secret that Redfall was a major disappointment to the gaming community. However, Arkane Austin wasn’t planning on giving up on the game. Game Update 4 brings several features including a new reputation bar called Community Standing and Elder Nests, which are Boss-focused Nests featuring modified special Vampires. Redfall also gets a couple of quality of life updates, including Offline Mode and single-player pausing. Both arguably should have been available at the game’s launch, but it’s better late than never.
Unfortunately, given what happened to Arkane Austin, there are understandably no full patch notes for this update. You can, however, learn more about it in this blog post.
