Nintendo of America has announced that it plans to open its second official store in the U.S., this time in San Francisco’s Union Square. This store will join the existing one in New York City, along with the three stores in Japan: Nintendo Osaka, Nintendo Tokyo, and Nintendo Kyoto. Nintendo San Francisco is planning to open sometime in 2025, and Nintendo will share more information as its grand opening approaches.
The additional store in the U.S. means Nintendo of America will have a presence on both the East Coast and the West Coast, in two of the most iconic cities in the country. The current store in New York is located in Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center and offers over 10,000 square feet of Nintendo goodies spread over two floors. Visitors can shop for their favorite Nintendo merchandise and play the latest titles on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo New York typically hosts special events to celebrate game launches. Tomorrow, May 25, Nintendo New York is celebrating the recent launch of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door with an event for all things Paper happening from 11:00 am Eastern to 2:00 pm Eastern.
