Titan Forge Games has announced that Smite 2 will host its first Alpha Weekend from May 2 to May 5. Those who purchase the Founder’s Edition bundle will have guaranteed access to the event; however, you can also register for a chance to be invited. The first Alpha Weekend Event will feature 14 playable gods and the updated Conquest game mode. The developer will host a live stream on May 1 at 12:00pm Pacific (3:00pm Eastern), revealing the full list of playable gods and more details about the event.
These weekend events will happen every month until Smite 2 reaches 24/7 closed beta, which is expected to happen late this summer. Expect more gods to be added, along with improvements and refinements based on player feedback.
Smite 2 is the sequel to the 2014 game Smite, a free-to-play third-person MOBA that has attracted over 40 million players. The game, announced earlier this year in January, is being developed using Unreal Engine 5.
