PlayStation gamers will finally discover what all the hype is about with Vampire Survivors, set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 this summer. In addition, Poncle, the developer, announced that the game will receive a crossover DLC with Konami’s iconic Contra series, titled Operation Guns. Starting May 9, the DLC will be available across all current platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Android, iOS, and PC. The PlayStation release will come at a later date.

Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns’ captures the essence of classic ‘Contra,’ introducing build-focused characters designed to encourage min-maxing and stat manipulation. Some of the characters include Bill Rizer, Lance Bean, Ariana, Lucia, Brad Fang, Browny, Sheena Etranzi, and Probotector. The DLC will also add 22 new fully automatic weapons and maps inspired by classic Contra levels: Galuga Jungle, Neo City, and Alien Zone. And for those who can hear Contra’s classic tunes already ringing in their ears, the DLC will feature a mix of classic Contra tracks and remixes.
