Cyberpunk 2077’s launch was very controversial, but with last year’s 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty DLC, the game has reached the quality fans expected at launch. If you’re still on the fence, Cyberpunk 2077 offers a five-hour free trial from March 28 at 8:00am Pacific (11:00am Eastern) until March 31 at 11:59pm Pacific (April 1 at 2:59am Eastern). No subscription is required, but the free trial will only be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The free trial should give most players enough time to get introduced to Night City and reach the title card. From my experience, it’s enough time to decide if Cyberpunk 2077 is your kind of game.
Cyberpunk 2077’s 2.0 update brought redesigned skill trees and perks, revamped cyberware with a new capacity system, improved vehicle combat and car chases, enhanced combat AI, and more. CD Projekt Red further enhanced the game with the 2.1 update in December 2023, introducing a city-wide, fully functional NCART metro system, among other features.
