It has been over a decade since EA Sports released the last NCAA Football game—NCAA Football 14 in July 2013—but college football fans can finally celebrate. EA Sports has confirmed College Football 25 will arrive this summer, with a full reveal coming this May. For now, the company has shared a teaser trailer with us from one of the most iconic stadiums in college football: the Rose Bowl.

Although no official release date has been announced, it is likely to be in July, consistent with the release timing of previous NCAA Football games. For those unfamiliar, the series took a long hiatus due to lawsuits over the use of players’ names, images, and likenesses (NIL) in the games. In a court filing, EA Sports stated it was willing to pay players, but the NCAA would not allow it. College football fans are well aware that paying for NIL is now permitted, for better or worse, allowing EA Sports to revive the series. Although real players will be featured in the game, they must opt into a deal and agree to the compensation before being added.

I can’t wait to see how the transfer portal plays out in College Football 25. How long will it be before an athlete makes their transfer decision using College Football 25?
