Paramount+ has unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming Knuckles series, featuring Idris Elba reprising his role as the iconic echidna. Slated to premiere on April 26, the six-episode series Knuckles will feature appearances by both Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails. Taking place between the second and third Sonic the Hedgehog movies—with the third set for a December 20 release—the series follows Knuckles as he helps Wade (Adam Pally) become a true warrior. For those who may not recall, Wade is Tom’s (James Marsden) police partner in the Sonic the Hedgehog movies.

While Jim Carrey and James Marsden do not appear in the trailer, it doesn’t rule out their potential appearance in the series. The trailer does reveal the antagonist, a former Robotnik employee portrayed by Rory McCann, best known for his role as Sandor “The Hound” Clegane in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Fans of the Sonic video games will be delighted to see Chief Pachacamac making an appearance.
