A State of Play dedicated to the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is scheduled for February 6. Given that Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy XVI both offered demos prior to their launches, we suspected a demo would be released following the State of Play. Earlier this evening, PSN accidentally confirmed the demo’s existence when it appeared on the storefront but was not available for download.

Wario64 on Twitter shared the trailer on social media and it ends with “demo available now” with the assumption that it’s meant to debut tomorrow. The listing for the demo has since been removed from the PlayStation Store. Some users reported that pressing the download button took them to the original Final Fantasy VII—not even the Remake.

The State of Play for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth begins at 3:30 pm Pacific (6:30 pm Eastern) on February 6 and will last 19 minutes and 19 seconds. We anticipate the demo will become available shortly thereafter.
